These za’atar rolls taste great, look great, and take a record time of 15 minutes of preparation. They are the perfect afternoon snack and also great to accompany any meal. Take them to a gathering with friends and you will leave everybody impressed.
Ingredients
- 1 dough of puff pastry
- 200 g of mozzarella cheese
- 1,5 tbsp za’atar
Method
1. On a lightly floured surface spread out the dough in the shape of a rectangle.
2. Mash the mozarella in a separate plate and then spread it evenly on the dough.
3. Sprinkle the za’atar evenly over the mozarella.
4. Starting with the long side of the dough, roll the dough inwards to form a cylinder.
5. Slice the cylinder into around 1 cm thick rolls.
6. Layout the rolls on a baking tray.
7. Put in the oven for around 15-20 min until golden.
